This Commercial Hoist CD-3754 Dual Action Smith Machine works on two planes of movement. The racking system provides nine positions for smith exercises, while also working simultaneously on the horizontal and vertical bar movement.
You have adjustable safety tiers on this just like you get with a half rack. This makes it perfect for exercises such as squats that you need to back out for the moment and also use safety tiers. Each safety tier can also be removed and put on the front of the machine if not needed.
